Martin Sheen has said he was "very impressed" by his young Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield.
The veteran actor plays Peter Parker's uncle in Marc Webb's 3D remake, with The Social Network's Andrew taking on the famous title role.
"It's a different phenomenon, these young stars that are coming up. I was very impressed with him because of his commitment and his discipline, and he's a very sweet young man too," Martin said.
The West Wing star added: "I've filmed all the scenes in California and I have to go to New York in April and May and film the final parts that I have to do. It's great fun."
